2021 - Institutional Resilience and Expanded Postsecondary Opportunity (IREPO) Grant – Grant Provider: U.S. Department of Education - Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) Award Amount: $2.8M This two-year grant provides for the creation of six technology-enhanced, collaborative learning spaces, as well as staffing and resources to support faculty in the design and delivery of instruction using the ActiveFlex approach at Athens State University. I collaborated in the development of the grant proposal, providing pedagogical research, classroom design, and technology specifications. I developed the educational model (ActiveFlex) that is the pedagogical focus of this grant. I am also the institutional lead for providing technology and instructional support for these courses.

This grant provides for the redesign of 7 classrooms to create technology enhanced collaborative learning spaces at Athens State University. I am the institutional lead in providing classroom design, technology specifications, installation, and support of these spaces.
2017 - Technology Partnership Mini-Grant Program - Grant Provider: University of South Alabama. Award amount: $5,000 per year. Description: A mini-grant program to help faculty and staff at University of South Alabama obtain technology that promotes active learning in online, blended, and face-to-face learning environments. My role: Proposed and obtained funding for ongoing program. Provide technology consultations and recommendations, manage award implementation.
2016 - Partnership for Quality Preceptor and Student Education - Grant Provider: U. S. Department of Health and Human Services. Award amount: $2.1 million. Description: The purpose of the grant was to provide support for diverse and underserved communities by placing Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students in primary care clinical sites, under the supervision of nurse preceptors. My role: Part of inter-professional program development team, representing the University of South Alabama's Innovation in Learning Center. Led a collaborative effort that included nursing faculty and participating sites to produce Preceptor Development Program, a six-module training and assessment curriculum for nurse preceptors. Consulted on design and development of research methods and instruments. Designed and developed online portal for students, faculty, and nurse preceptors.
2012 - Gulf Coast Regional Tourism Partnership - Grant provider: British Petroleum (BP). Award amount: $16,000. Description: The purpose of the grant was to provide funding for events that promoted tourism in the Gulf Coast Region. The award helped fund the Juke Joint Jam, a jazz music festival in Bay St. Louis, sponsored by Bay-Waveland Habitat for Humanity. My role: Primary Grant Writer. Public relations and communications director for event.
